Granite

Granite can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications due to extreme resistance to ultraviolet lights, acids, heat, and abrasions. It provides indisputable strength, ultra durability and organic beauty. 

The hardness of granite makes it very resistant to scratches and chips. However, it is somewhat porous and will require a sealer every 2-5 years.

Quartzite is the most durable options for countertops. It is harder than granite and extremely heat resistant. You can place hot pots and pans directly on the surface without worrying about damage. 

Like granite, quartzite can be used in both indoor and outdoor applications, and is a safe choice for places that will be exposed to heat like fireplace hearths, surrounds and mantles. 

Quartzite needs to be sealed more often than granite due to its porosity. We recommend sealing every 1-3 years.

Marble remains a top choice for natural stone countertops due to its timeless beauty.  Since marble was created from sedimentary dolomite or limestone rock through a natural process, each piece is unique in appearance. It is heat resistant just like granite and quartzite and can be prone to stains and dull spots if proper care is not maintained. 

It is much softer than granite and quartzite and it will require sealing every 6 months to a year.
